WELCOME

Claire and Harry met during their senior year at the University of Southern California. Claire’s sorority was hosting its annual KAT in the Hat formal - a themed event where your sorority sisters choose your date for you. If chosen, the guy buys two of the same hats and drops one off at the Theta house for their mystery date. On the night of the event, everyone heads to the venue in costume according to their hat to find their match!

Claire was having a blast in her squirt gun-patterned bucket hat when one of her friends brought her over to a tall red head in an Ireland bucket hat and said, “This is your date—Harry”. The lack of matching hats was made up for with an incredible first date, full of singing, dancing, and rocking out to “Ain’t It Fun” by Paramore on the party bus home.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

OUR LOVE STORY

Fast forward five and a half years, life had taken them north from West LA to San Francisco. In March 2025, it was an ordinary weekend in SF when Harry suggested they go to their best friend JP’s sister’s cross country race in the Presidio - The Bridge to Bridge Invitational! When they got to the beach just under the Golden Gate Bridge, Claire quickly realized there weren’t any cross-country runners in sight - just Harry, down on one knee, with his brother Spencer hiding in the bushes nearby with a photographer to capture the moment. And of course she said yes!

To top it off, Harry planned one more surprise - a celebration at the Blue Whale restaurant in the Marina near where they now live, accompanied by Claire’s closest friends and family who had secretly flown in from all over the country.
